A Message from The Prince of Wales

We, in this country, are fortunate to have a professional police force that is manned by courageous and dedicated police officers who strive to uphold the rule of law and maintain the highest traditions of policing in the face of constant difficulties and danger. In the line of duty this all too often results in personal injury and mental stress.

Flint House at Goring-on-Thames, has developed into a well-respected convalescent and rehabilitation facility. The highly important work that is carried out here ensures that our police officers are restored to health and the majority are able to return to their duties.

Through the generosity of kind friends and well-wishers, The Police Rehabilitation Trust has contributed almost £5 million within the last twenty five years to purchase, equip and extend Flint House. The Trust must continue its vital role in order to maintain the highest standards of care for police officers who, I believe, deserve the admiration and gratitude of us all.
